Okay, i am trying to master the wild world of wikis and hopefully begin a wiki next year on my library home page for the students and teachers to hare their ideas on books and library matters. Any suggestions?

I am also trying to figure out how to twitter--how do people acquire a following?

I've been working on that as well Janice! I've added a number of ppl listed here that I think would help develop a great PLN with me but I'm not sure how to encourage them to follow me as well (in order to have a dialogue!).

I checked out the pbworks website but I couldn't find the signup for camp. Any ideas!

This is an idea-sharing wiki for librarians who post to answer boards, like Answers.com's WikiAnswers (http:wiki.answers.com), Yahoo Answers or Amazon's Askville. We recognize that these sites can help promote the idea that librarians are active and dynamic participants in the web 2.0 community, and we're not just waiting for the questions to come in! http://www.mrpayday.ca

My husband, a teacher, was frustrated by not finding good books to get boys reading. So he wrote one! If you have turned off boys aged 11- 16 they may well love The Phoenix: Firestorm by Joseph Allen. One boy ended up in the ER because he was reading while walking and didn't see the lamppost, another told us that his head might fall off if the second book did not appear soon. I hope you will see this post as an attempt to help you engage boys in reading and will not think too harshly of me for plugging it. The book is on Amazon and we are happy to help librarians by answering questions.
